Throughout the year, Metro Ferret will participate in and schedule a variety of events to raise funds for shelter support, and to raise the community's awareness about the domestic ferret.  All members are encouraged to initiate and plan events in their local communities.  Although the club is a social organization, our main goal is to promote and assist with the welfare of domestic ferrets. 

Metro Ferret Club Members can join our Yahoo! Newsgroup for up-to-date information, a calendar of events, and photos to share.  It's a great way to keep in touch with current events, and people in our group.   Click here for additional information  http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MetroFerret

• Our Annual Membership Dues are only $12.00 per person.  Shelters that wish to join as members can do so at a discounted rate.  You do not need to be a resident of New York or New Jersey to join the club and help our cause.  The dues include invitations to Mefto Ferret Events throughout the year, and participation in our news group.  A portion of your Membership dues may be tax-deductible.  Metro Ferret is a Federal 501(c)(3) Tax-Exempt Not-for-Profit Organization. • If you are interested in adopting a shelter ferret, we have an adoption application that you can complete and submit.  Click here for an adoption application, and we will forward it to the shelter closest to you for consideration.

• Metro Ferret makes donations of food and supplies to the shelters on a regular basis.  These include payments to veterinarians, donated items, and items purchased by the club with the money raised by donations and small item sales.  By holding raffles, bake sales, and other fund-raising events, we hope to  increase the amount of support we can give to the shelters.  We are also applying for grants for shelter improvements and necessities.
